About me
Most recruiters have one perspective: their own. I have two.
I started with a commercial apprenticeship, followed by a few years in various roles – the time when you find out what you are good at and what bores you. In 2009 I ended up in recruitment and stayed, because I was drawn to the part you can’t measure: why someone changes jobs, what keeps them, what wears them down.
In the years that followed I worked as a senior consultant and head of department, led teams and hired people myself – and spent some time in a company’s HR department. So I don’t just know how to introduce candidates. I also know what it’s like to face a pile of CVs, too little time and a position that has been open for four months.
I have been self-employed since 2019.
In an agency, what counts at the end of the month is the number. If you work under commission pressure, sooner or later you introduce people you are not convinced of – not out of malice, but because the system demands it. I no longer wanted that.
There is also something candidates rarely find out: in most agencies your CV sits in a database that a dozen recruiters can access. You talk to one person and don’t know how many others see your documents or where they are sent.
Since 2019 I have worked for myself. I look after my candidates exclusively and personally – nobody but me has access to your documents.
I take on few mandates, because I handle each one myself, from the search to the first day at work. You never deal with a changing team, always with the same person.
You won’t get a catalogue of thirty jobs from me, two of which vaguely fit. I get in touch when I have something that suits you – and tell you honestly when I don’t.
I also tell you honestly how good your CV is and what is realistic, even when that is the less comfortable answer. And I don’t introduce anyone I am not convinced of: a recommendation from me should mean something.
Your documents never go to a company without your consent, and your current employer will not hear about our conversation.
Born and raised in Zurich. I don’t know this job market from statistics, but because I live here.
I am married with two children and a dog. I unwind with CrossFit – and outdoors with the dog, whether I feel like it or not.
Whether you are just starting to think about a change or have a vacancy to fill – get in touch. I usually reply the same day, and always within two working days.
